Invest in your IRA

IS YOUR IRA or 401K GIVING YOU A RETURN OF 18% OR MORE?

Historically, real estate has provided many Americans with a stable investment vehicle that provides both income and appreciation. One of the greatest tools available to real estate investors is government-sponsored retirement plans. Very few Americans realize that they have the option to direct their IRAs and other retirement plans into real estate. Most investors believe that their only IRA investment options are bank CDs or the stock market and mutual funds. If you currently are a successful real estate investor, Statewide Real Estate, can assist you in diversifying your retirement portfolio. The combination of real estate and your IRA can be very powerful. The tremendous advantages IRAs and other retirement plans offer Americans include the following:

      The power of compound interest
    Reduction of taxable income
Asset protection
Estate planning

Invest With Knowledge, Expertise Comfort

The greatest advantage IRAs hold for real estate investors is that they can apply their knowledge in investment areas in which they are already successful (and comfortable) to their IRAs and other retirement plans. Here is a partial list of real estate investments that you can make with Statewide Real Estate and your Real Estate IRA:

Raw land
Single family homes
Apartments
Mobile Homes
Commercial Property
Real Estate Notes
Mortgages
Tax Liens

Your Rate of Return Is Based On Your Selected Investment Program

(see Investment Programs)

When Statewide Real Estate combines the advantages of an IRA with our knowledge of real estate, you have the ability to compound investments tax free/deferred. The rate of return on your investments will be based on the programs you select, not on the ups-and-downs of the stock market.

Why Haven't I Heard Of This Before ?

Most Financial Advisors and Brokers only allow you to invest in their approved list of investment options. Investments THEY earn commissions on. If you have an IRA at a bank, you will probably be limited to CDs; at a brokerage firm, to stocks, bonds and mutual funds.

Are There Any Downsides ?

There are not any downsides per se, but there are certain types of transactions that you can not perform through an IRA. Basically, the IRS prohibits “self dealing,” which are investments in which you or your family members of lineal descent have prior ownership.  Additionally, no investment (aside from FDIC-insured deposits) is guaranteed and real estate investing is not for everyone. However, most successful real estate investors feel that the investment risk of real estate is much less than that associated with investing solely in the stock market.

The Most Important Things To Remember Are That:

With Your Real Estate invested IRA, the type of investments you make will be exactly the same kind you presently are making for your personal account. The only difference is that the profits in your IRA investments are tax free/deferred.

You will need Pike Real Estate to assist you in completing the correct paperwork because the IRS does not allow you to personally “touch” your IRA account. Our IRA custodian will ensure your Bank, Financial Advisor, or Broker receives the necessary paperwork to avoid you “touching” your IRA account.
